Virtually undestructible... and they back it up with a 15 year frame warranty. The chair is adjustable to three positions, from upright to reclining. The Sunbrella material will not fade or stretch like canvas. Use it around the house or fold it up and take it to the beach... but, beware, you'll be bothered by folks wanting to know where you got it.
